DATA, HANDLED PROPERLY
What Kontor collects, and why.
01 — What we collect
Company data: public storefront information — domain, products, prices, detected tools, markets, and the legal information every German shop already publishes in its Impressum.
Personal data: names and roles of managing directors and owners as published in the Impressum or commercial register, and business email addresses. We create personal records on demand, not in bulk.
02 — Legal basis
We process this data under legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: enabling business-to-business contact between vendors and the companies that publish this information. This page serves as information under Art. 14 GDPR for data subjects whose data we did not collect from them directly.
03 — Provenance
Every personal data point in Kontor carries its source and a verification date, and both are shown to every user who sees it. We never send email to people in the database, and neither can our customers through Kontor — we don't build sending.
04 — Your rights
You can object at any time, free, without an account: remove your data. Suppression is immediate and permanent — the suppression record itself is what keeps your data from coming back. You also have the right to access, rectification, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
05 — Controller
